Nick will be doing a solo tour titled The Singer Songwriter Show. In this he goes ‘back to his childhood sweetheart: the ear-pleasingly beautiful music of the great singer songwriters’, says the website. “I grew up with the music of Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Don McLean and Neil Diamond, among others,” says Nick.
Nick has warm feelings for that music. “I played this music endlessly on my guitar and sang it in my bedroom. I’m surprised that it’s music you hardly hear on the radio, but when you play a song like that, it feels like a warm bath and people always enjoy hearing these songs.”
If you feel like coming to Nick’s tour, you will be ‘taken through the history of this music movement, Nick tells personal stories that he mixes with his first solo music’. Tickets cost between 20 and 35 euros. Nick can only be seen in Haarlem in April 2024.
In addition, Nick Schilder has joined the Chantals Pajama Party line-up. For the shows in the Ziggo Dome on October 6 and 7, Nick has a new duo partner to perform with, namely Chantal Janzen. That was announced on Thursday. “I am now enjoying a well-deserved holiday with my wife and family, but I am already looking forward to being on the podium again,” says Nick about his participation in Chantal’s event.
