Nick de Vries joins AlphaTauri F1 "Yuki Tsunoda is a fast and talented good guy"[F1-Gate.com]

Nick de Vries, who will make his AlphaTauri F1 debut in 2023, is confident he is mature enough to take on the responsibilities of team leaders.

Nick de Vries made a very good impression in mid-September at the F1 Italian Grand Prix at the Monza circuit. Mercedes F1 reserve driver Nick de Vries was invited to race by Williams on Saturday morning.

“I don’t think you need F1 experience to be a leader. In my opinion it’s very much influenced by your character, your personality and the way you work.”

“I’ve never been fully committed to Formula 1 before, but I know what it takes from the car, the package and the people around me to get something together. So I’m sure of it. We are,” said the 2019 F2 Champion .

Nick de Vries will be team mate of Yuki Tsunoda, who belongs to AlphaTauri, since his F1 debut in 2021. But Yuki Tsunoda is five years younger than De Vries.

“Yuki has a great character and he really enjoys us all. I’m looking forward to working with him,” said Nick de Vries.

“And he’s very fast and talented. Yuki is a good guy. We’ve been in contact for a long time.”
