A year after Nick Cannon and model Alyssa Scott lost their five-month-old son, they have become parents to a baby girl.
The daughter is called Halo Marie and was born on December 14th.
Alyssa Scott announced the arrival of the new world citizen this week.
“Our lives have changed forever. Zen is with me in every breath I take. I know his spirit was with us in the room that morning. I know he watches over us, he shows me signs every day”writes the model on Thursday under a video on Instagram.
Zen was the son of Cannon and Scott. He died of a brain tumor last Decemberonly five months.
Shortly thereafter, Cannon opened up about what had happened on his television show, ‘The Nick Cannon Show’:

But just over a year after Cannon and Scott experienced every parent’s nightmare, they had their second child together.
The video that Scott posted on Instagram shows clips of the birth, among other things.
“I will keep this memory forever. I will remember the sound of Nick’s voice saying “she’s a girl” and everything we’ve been through showing on her face. I will remember the sound of her crying as she took her first breaths and the feel of his heartbeat against mine. My pretty girl, I had my surprise!” she writes.

It’s not the first time this year that Cannon, who is an American actor, rapper, and television personality, has seen a rise in the family.
Halo Marie is her twelfth child and fifth born this year.
Cannon also has twin boys with ex-wife Mariah Carey. Those two dissolved in 2014.
