Nick Cannon: – About his late son:

In December last year, the rapper shared Nick Cannon (41) the sad news that his youngest and seventh child, Zen, had passed away. The little boy died of a brain tumor, the father said, according to among others TMZ.

According to TMZ, Cannon told that he and Zen’s mother Alyssa Scott spent the boy’s last time in California. They took the trip to the beach where he held his son for the last time.

Zen passed away shortly after, only five months old.

– Heavy anger

In Cannon’s talk show called “The Nick Cannon Show”, the rapper shares a clip from a podcast conversation with Dr. Laura Berman. In the clip, he opens up about the grief after his son’s death, and the remorse that he did not spend more time with Zen. It writes among others Independent.

– One thing that keeps me awake at night is this heavy, heavy remorse that I did not spend enough time, as I really wanted, with Zen, shares the star openly.

Lost his son: – Hope he would wake up

The rapper is currently expecting his eighth child. In addition to his ten-year-old twins with singer Mariah Carey (51), Cannon is also the father of Golden (4), Powerful Queen (1) with Brittany Bell (34) and twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir (8 months) with Abby de la Rosa.

Having children around the same age, but not living with them and also having a busy life, the rapper finds stressful. He admits that he feels guilty for not being with them every day.

Cannon further explains that the children long for more than he can give them.

– I carry with me a backpack of guilt, but I know at least that the harder I work, the easier it will be to deal with guilt, Cannon says.

Opens up about the loss of the son

When asked when he feels most guilty, the 41-year-old answers the following:

– When I am not working and spending time with a young lady, I think: “I have a house full of children”.

Singing about the ex

Cannon was in the wind when he married Mariah Carey from 2008 to 2014. The father of seven can tell that he and his ex-wife work well together on the twins Monroe and Moroccan Scott.

On Valentine’s Day, February 14, Cannon released the song “Alone,” in which he sings about Carey. He said this himself on his talk show on Wednesday, according to Complex.

However, it should not be an attempt to win back the ex-wife, but to take responsibility for how he treated her when they were a couple.

– I was in the best possible situation with my dream girl, and I messed it up. To be open and vulnerable, the song is not really about getting her back. It’s about taking responsibility for what I did as a man and owning my mistakes, and expressing it through a song.
