His widow also shared that her husband was extremely grateful “for being an actor for almost 70 years.”

Belford was the actor’s fourth wife and the two worked together on the series “Beverly Hills, 90210.” In the world-famous series from 1994 to 1997, Pryor played the recurring supporting role of A. Milton Arnold, the chancellor of California University, and thus became known to a wide audience.

Pryor began his career on Broadway in his mid-twenties, appearing in four plays from 1957 to 1959 after graduating from college. Later he was mainly involved in television productions.

But the busy actor was also seen again and again in the cinema and worked with the biggest Hollywood stars throughout his long career. In 1983, for example, he played the father of a global star Tom Cruise (62) in the film “Loose Business”. In 1987 he played the father of Robert Downey Jr (59) in the drama “Below Zero”. Five years later he played the lawyer of Jack Nicholson (87) in “Jimmy Hoffa”.
