For the 34th day of Ligue 1, OGC Nice welcomed Montpellier. After his surprising defeat against the red lantern Dijon last weekend (2-0), the Niçois were keen to catch up. For its part, Montpellier remained on fifteen matches without defeat in all competitions. You had to be well seated on your sofa to not miss anything of this match. Three short minutes were enough for Gaetan Laborde to give the advantage to his people (0-1, 3rd) but the Niçois did not even have time to doubt that Hicham Boudaoui equalized (1-1, 6th).

Adrian Ursea’s men reversed the match in two minutes. Jean-Clair Todibo allowed Nice to pass in front (2-1, 39th) one minute before Claude-Maurice scored the break goal (3-1, 40th). The score will not move despite the few opportunities Montpellier in the second half. Nice puts an end to the beautiful series of invincibility of the Hérault and passes in front of its opponent of the day in the standings.
