In order to help reduce health inequalities, the City of Nice is doing everything possible to ensure that everyone can access vaccination at all ages.
The Hancy vaccination center of the City of Nice offers for free compulsory or recommended vaccines (DTPolio, pertussis, MMR, Hepatitis B, Meningitis, Papillomavirus) and provides advice according to the medical methods provided for in the vaccination schedule published by the High Council of Public Health.
From Tuesday October 15, it will offer vaccination without appointment against Covid 19, seasonal flu and papillomavirus.
- Vaccination campaign against Covid 19
The targets of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign are as follows:
- People aged 65 and over;
- People aged over 6 months with comorbidities having a higher risk of severe disease;
- Immunocompromised people;
- Pregnant women;
- Residents in accommodation establishments for dependent elderly people (EHPAD) and long-term care units (USLD);
- People at very high risk of serious illness according to each individual medical situation and as part of a decision shared with the healthcare teams;
- People living in close proximity to or in regular contact with immunocompromised or vulnerable people, including professionals in the health and medico-social sectors.
These populations are eligible from 6 months after their last infection or vaccine injection. People over 80 are eligible from 3 months after their last infection or vaccine injection.
Anyone wishing to be vaccinated, even if they are not part of the target, can receive an injection against Covid-19.
Like the vaccine against seasonal flu, updated each year in order to adapt to the strains which are most likely to circulate during the winter, this autumn vaccination campaign against Covid 19 includes the use of vaccines adapted to majority circulating variants. For this campaign, vaccines adapted to the JN.1 variant will be used.
- Seasonal flu vaccination campaign
Vaccination against seasonal flu is strongly recommended every year for people aged 65 and over but is open to everyone from the age of two.
For the most vulnerable, elderly or sick people who cannot travel for these two vaccines: home vaccination by mobile teams.
