Earlier today we already had an article about the Pokémon GO Championship Series and that they are part of the Play! Pokémon series. Niantic has also just announced the first details and let you know how to register for the tournaments. We would like to emphasize again that you will first have to participate in regional events in order to eventually participate in the international editions.
However, you will also have to qualify for the regional editions and now it is known how. Players who reach Rank Legend this season will be able to register for the Pokémon GO Championship Series for a short period of time sometime in the early months of 2022. Once registrations close, players of all ranks will be able to register for a chance to win the remaining spots. Players who wish to participate will need to link their Pokémon GO account to a Pokémon Trainer Club account.
Players who don’t finish the current season high enough can take another chance during the following season. This coming season counts towards a later number of games.
