The augmented reality game for smartphone “Pokémon GO” is now available for beyond level 40. Since November 30, another ten levels of play have been added, according to Niantic. At the same time, the first Pokémon of the sixth generation of the so-called Kalos region will come into play.
Unlike the first 40 levels, it will take more than just experience points to close one of the new levels. For example, tasks such as catching 200 Pokémon in a day or winning a certain number of battles are added.
Old points are counted
Almost four and a half years after the launch of “Pokémon GO” many players have already reached the highest level existing so far, 40. To do that you have to collect 20 million experience points. According to the information, the points that were earned above that level will be counted for the following levels.
Another innovation is the seasons of the year. Different Pokémon will appear in them with varying frequency. Beyond that, there are other changes to the game as well.
New hunting system
Among other things, the encounters with the Pokémon, the system to catch them as well as the rewards were revised in the game. The game consists of hunting animated Pokémon figures in the real environment of the mobile phone screen. The augmented reality game became a global phenomenon upon its launch in 2016.
