Niagara Falls Possible Terrorist Attack: Car Explosion at Border Patrol Building

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation began to determine the circumstances of the incident in coordination with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

“Because the situation is so fluid, this is all we can say at this time,” the FBI said.

Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diondati said preliminary reports indicate that a car exploded. He was trying to enter the American side of the border.

After this, the Rainbow Bridge was closed.

Possible terrorist attack

Unnamed Fox News sources said the vehicle was attempting to force its way into a Border Patrol building. It contained explosives.

According to the publication, as a result of the incident, two people who were in the car died. Another Border Patrol agent was injured. At the same time, all government buildings in the area were evacuated.

Fox News sources add that the explosion could have been the result of an attempted terrorist attack.

Following the incident, international border crossings between Canada and Western New York were closed.

Let us remind you that earlier it became known that in the US state of Texas on November 8 there was an explosion at a chemical plant. After this, a strong fire started.
