One of the traditions of the overseas NHL is the so-called beginner’s solo. Any hockey player who awaits his debut in the professional league will have the opportunity to bring the whole team to warm up and be the first to ice skate, while for a few short seconds he is completely alone on the playing surface, or with other rookies while the rest of the teammates wait in the tunnel. Slovak rookies Juraj Slafkovský and Pavol Regenda also survived today’s rookie solo.
