The Columbus Blue Jackets announced that they have acquired goaltender Malcolm Subban from the St. Louis Blues. In return, Columbus cedes future considerations to the formation of Missouri.
Subban will report to the Cleveland Monsters of the American League.

Subban signed a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 with St. Louis on July 1.

The San Jose Sharks acquired Klim Kostin from the Detroit Red Wings for defenseman Radim Simek and a seventh-round pick.
The 24-year-old Russian has just three goals and one assist in 33 games this season after setting personal highs of 11 goals, 10 assists and 21 points in 2022-23.
Simek, 31, played 40 games this season in the American League with the San Jose Barracuda, recording 16 points. He was also named captain of the team on February 2. He has 209 games of NHL experience with the Sharks.
A goalkeeper heads to Florida
The Penguins sent goaltender Magnus Hellberg to the Florida Panthers. In return, the Pennsylvania team receives a conditional seventh-round pick in 2025.
Hellberg has one win in three matches this season. He has eight in 26 career starts.
