What the Carolina Hurricanes are catching up!

Lorentz (53.) and Svechnikov (57./SH) ensure Carolina’s historic success. Only six teams managed to turn a four-goal deficit in regular time. The New York Rangers last accomplished this feat in the 2019/20 season.
Nashville can win again
The seven-game winning streak of the Nashville Predators ended with two defeats in a row at the end of the year, now the Preds are on top again. With a 6-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks, they end their mini-low.
Although the guests recorded significantly more shots on goal (38:25), Forsberg (2nd) gave the Predators an early lead. Johansen (6th), Cousins (20th / PP), Jeannot (21st) and Josi (26th / PP) expand this to 5-0, Kurashev (38th) scores the Blackhawks’ consolation goal. Jeannot (41st) scores with his second goal to make it 6-1.
The Boston Bruins turn a 1: 3 into a 4: 3 n.OT against the Buffalo Sabers, Coyle ensures the decision in overtime after 43 seconds.
The Montreal Canadiens defeat the Florida Panthers 2: 5 away, the New York Islanders bring the Edmonton Oilers to their knees 3: 2 in overtime.
