“NHL Playoffs: Four Slovak Players in the Running for Quarterfinals”

In the overseas NHL, the regular season ended on the night from Friday to Saturday. In the play-off, which will start on the night of Monday to Tuesday, April 18, four Slovaks could appear. Tomáš Tatar and Jaroslav Halák are fighting each other for direct progress to the quarterfinals.

The ruler of the regular season, the Boston Bruins, will challenge the Florida Panthers in the round of 16. Tampa Bay with a Slovak defender Erik Černák will face the Toronto Maple Leafs. The most interesting fight for Slovak viewers will be between the New Jersey Devils with Tomáš Tatar and the New York Rangers with a goaltender Jaroslav Halák. The quarterfinals of the Eastern Conference are completed by the Carolina Hurricanes’ duel with the New York Islanders.

The winner of the Western Conference, the Las Vegas Golden Knights, will take on the Winnipeg Jets. Edmonton Oilers, with the most productive player of the regular season Connor McDavid, will play the opening round of the playoffs against the Los Angeles Kings. The Colorado Avalanche will challenge the Seattle Krakens and the Dallas Stars with the Slovak Marián Studeničwho has only played three games in the NHL this season, will face the Minnesota Wild.
