Mixed days for the German NHL professionals. Only Nico Sturm managed to win with his San Jose Sharks, while many other legionnaires suffered defeats.
On Tuesday (November 15, 2022), the German ice hockey professional Nico Sturm celebrated a success in the North American professional league NHL. The 27-year-old from Augsburg won 5-2 with the San Jose Sharks against the Vegas Golden Knights and contributed an assist to make it 1-1.
Moritz Seider (21) lost with the Detroit Red Wings against the Anaheim Ducks 2:3 after overtime, it was the fourth consecutive loss for the defender and his team. The negative streak of John Peterka and the Buffalo Sabers also continues. The 20-year-old lost 4-5 against the Vancouver Canucks with Buffalo and conceded the sixth consecutive bankruptcy.
NHL: No successful game day for German professionals
The day before, Tim Stützle (20) was not allowed to celebrate either, instead he had to accept another failure with the Ottawa Senators. The German striker already had his assists number nine and ten in the 15th game of the season in the 2:4 against the New York Islanders. After the loss, his team remains second bottom in the Eastern Conference.
Goaltender Thomas Greiss was not used in his St. Louis Blues’ 3-2 win, as was Lukas Reichel for the Chicago Blackhawks in their 3-0 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. Born in Nuremberg, Reichel is currently trying to join the Blackhawks’ farm team, the Rockford IceHogs, for a spot in the NHL. (sid)
