The New York Islanders are looking to bounce back in Game 2 of the series against the Boston Bruins.
In rising the curtain, the Bruins won by a score of 5-2.
Barry Trotz did not hesitate to point the finger at players, in particular Mathew Barzal who is invited to do more by his coach. Trotz could also rearrange his trios for this meeting.
Barzal was limited to just one shot in the first game
David Pastrnak led the Bruins’ offense with a three-goal production. The other members of his line Patrice Bergeron (two assists) and Brad Marchand (an assist) also did well. Boston led 40-22 in the penalty shootout column.

Pastrnak, his second in career, was the author of the 25th playoff hat trick in Bruins’ history. Like Phil Esposito (four), Johnny Bucyk (three), Cam Neely (three) and David Krejci (two), Pastrnak has achieved this feat more than once since the start of his career.
Goalkeeper Semyon Varlamov could make a comeback for the Islanders, who has not played since May 20. He had just escaped his two outings against the Penguins, but in his career, he is 5-1-0 against the Bruins.
On the Bruins’ side, we don’t expect big changes.
