NHL | New Jersey – NY Rangers 4:3 pp, goalkeeper Vaněček gets Jersey victory in overtime

Rangers took the ice lead from the Devils in the second minute when Vaněček was hit by Jimmy Vesey. Shortly after the start of the second half, the visitors took a two-goal lead through Julien Gauthier.

In the half-time, however, Jack Hughes finally got past the excellent goalkeeper Sesťorkin and reduced the score to 1:2. However, the home team’s joy didn’t last long and after about four minutes Rangers took a two-goal lead again.

In the third part, Jesper Bratt put the Devils back within reach of the only goal, and two minutes later Hughes also scored for the second time in the match and it was equalised. The match went to extra time, in which Severson pushed with a shot to the far post and thus completed the upset of the home team.
