The Chicago Blackhawks lost 4-0 to the Montréal Canadiens away. The New Jersey Devils defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-2 away.
Montréal took the lead after nine minutes thanks to Justin Barron, in the final third Joel Armia increased to 0:2 in the 46th minute and a double strike within 22 seconds by David Savard and Christian Dvorak in the 52nd minute finally decided the game for Montréal which could celebrate the third victory in a row.

The game in Columbus was balanced, New Jersey took the lead twice through Yegor Sharangovich (11th) and Jesper Bratt (21st).
