The award-winning works of the Contribution Video Awards, which are selected from the videos sent to broadcasting stations nationwide through NHK’s video posting site “NHK Scoop BOX”, were announced on the 23rd.
The “NHK Scoop Box Contribution Video Grand Prize” is awarded to videos that are highly newsworthy or topical from among the more than 30,000 videos submitted to NHK by viewers over the past year.
Among them, the best prize in the scoop video category was selected for the video shot in Shiretoko Peninsula in Hokkaido in April last year. There is a possibility that the scene before the shipwreck of the sightseeing boat “KAZU1” that sank off the coast of Shiretoko Peninsula was captured. The Sapporo woman who took the video posted the video, saying, “I hope that it will catch the eye of an expert and lead to an investigation into the cause.”
The highest award in the Topic category was awarded to Shinji Kawamura, who shot diamond dust in Biei, Hokkaido last February. In the video, rainbow-colored light particles, which are considered rare among “diamond dust”, are recorded. Other award-winning works can be viewed on the NHK Scoop Box website.
