Shimada Hiroshi, unaffiliated, new. 60,530 votes.
Mr. Nakano, who was nominated by the Liberal Democratic Party and Komeito after receiving a substantial successor nomination from the incumbent, was elected for the first time, defeating Mr. Shimada, who was recommended by the Communist Party.
Mr. Nakano is 53 years old from Hamamatsu City. He joined the former Ministry of Home Affairs in 1994 and served as Vice Governor of Hokkaido and Section Chief of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
During the election campaign, Mr. Nakano appealed to promote regional revitalization through regional revitalization and industrial promotion, and to focus on creating safe and secure cities that are resilient to disasters.
