NHK Live Yell 2024 Song Reveals and Highlights

The songs for NHK’s big music program “Live Yell 2024” have been decided!

*In alphabetical order of artists, including previously released songs*

Plus, we’ll include highlights of Live Yell!

A special collaboration between TUBE and BE:FIRST is produced for one night only! In fact, BE:FIRST member JUNON has been a huge fan of TUBE since he was a child, and it was TUBE that inspired him to become an artist.
The name of this unit is “TUBE:FIRST”. We will make a special blend that will cross generations and species.

Hiromi Go collaborates with Barbie’s, the Kanto Daiichi High School Cheerleader Club, one of the top cheerleader schools in the country, and takes on the challenge of a collaborative dance in “240 Million Eyes – Exotic Japan-”.
At age 68, Ms. Go, who continues to take on challenges, delighted all of Japan with her first cheer dance performance.

This year’s “Live Yell” is delivered in conjunction with “I Want to Hear Your Voice”, a project that considers the happiness of children and young people.
Masaharu Fukuyama listened to the voices of 146 young people who expressed their concerns about the project.
Moderator Teruyoshi Uchimura was also present at the discussion session, and he listened to the real voices of young people, such as “how to keep following your dreams” and “how to deal with your parents.”
In addition, they performed a one-night only live performance in front of young people. They will sing “Hitomi,” which depicts the love between parent and child, and “Niji,” a timeless song of happiness.

Rapper Awich, who dominates the Japanese HIPHOP scene, will be appearing for the first time at Live Ale.

On the 6th of last month, three months after the Noto Peninsula earthquake, the Noto Railway, which was partially suspended due to earthquake damage, reopened its entire line. One of these stations, “Noto-Kashima Station” is affectionately called “Noto Sakura Station” because it is surrounded by about 100 cherry blossom trees.
Along with a video of the cherry blossoms at Noto Sakura Station, which are in full bloom this year, Naotaro Moriyama will deliver the famous song “Sakura.”

Sayuri Ishikawa visited a friend who runs a guest house in Noto City, Ishikawa Prefecture, which was damaged by the earthquake.
Mr. Ishikawa saw from the outset that there was no prospect of restarting the business. We will talk about our feelings for Noto through our interactions with the local people who have started to take steps to recover despite difficult conditions.
This time, we will cheer from the live cheer stage with the famous song “Noto Peninsula”, which is located in Noto, Ishikawa Prefecture.

There will also be upbeat songs by volunteer singers!
Ken Matsudaira’s famous song “Matsuken Samba II” became a hit in 2004 and caused a huge boom. In fact, in Reiwa’s time, the boom has reversed and is being enthusiastically supported by the younger generation.
Mr. Matsudaira will sing a cheerful song that will delight everyone, young and old. We will be live on stage with great artists!

Born from “Live Yell”, the program’s original song “Ameagari no Yell” was written by Mitsuyoshi Uchimura and composed by Naotaro Moriyama.
This time, in addition to fabulous artists, we will be singing with a chorus of over 40 high school students!

Voice actor Kana Ichinose will lead the VTR narration.
