Through a post on Twitter, Adam Mosseri explained that tests of the use of MFTs on Instagram will begin this week. This will only be available to a select group of users in the United States.

“Creators are incredibly important to Instagram. But one of the challenges we need to solve in the industry is how to help creators make a living doing what they love,” Mosseri says in the nearly two-minute video.

He explains that although there are already many ways for creators to earn money, the company concluded that one of them is the implementation of NFTs on Instagram.

That is why from this week the test of these tokens begins, which will allow certain creators and collectors “share NFTs they have created or bought” and it can be done both from the Feed, as well as in messages and Stories.
