Earlier this year, Kelly Stafford, the wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, had some harsh words about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship. But it seems that she has since changed her mind.
Last May, Kelly Stafford expressed her displeasure with the media attention Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce received.
“I don’t know if I want to see another four months of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce coverage,” Stafford said in May on his “The Morning After” podcast, according to Athlon Sports.
However, his opinion seems to have changed.
Last week, Stafford went with her family to a Taylor Swift concert, prompting her to backtrack on her previous comments.
“Going to the concert, I knew there was going to be quote-unquote negative reactions,” Stafford said on his podcast this week.
This gave him the opportunity to clarify his opinion on Taylor Swift.
“Now, I’ve never once said I don’t like Taylor Swift. But I will say that I’m a little tired of the media coverage of the Chiefs, or in fact, the media coverage of this budding relationship by the NFL last year,” Stafford said.

“I almost felt like it overshadowed the games,” she continued. “I think that’s what bothered me.”
Stafford admits that she was actually a little jealous of the attention Taylor and Travis were getting.
“I had jealousy issues because of her suddenly becoming the main spectacle of NFL football, or their relationship,” Stafford said.
“And I watch my husband, and all these guys that play for the league work like crazy and all of a sudden they become the sideshow.”
But she has now changed her mind about the pop sensation.
“I’m very grateful to her in so many ways,” Stafford said. “There are so many more women watching. Little girls watching with their dads. It definitely makes my girls love soccer more knowing that they’re adjacent to it…At the end of the day, I’m grateful for it all.
Clearly, Stafford now sees the good that comes from Swift’s involvement in the NFL.
