Shocking incident in the USA.

Last Friday, NFL professional Josh Reynolds (29) was shot in a shooting in Glendale, Colorado.

The Denver Broncos wide receiver visited a nightclub. After he left the restaurant with a friend around 2:45 a.m., he was chased by several cars, according to the police report. Shots are said to have been fired.

Reynolds was hit in the left arm and the back of the head and was immediately taken to a hospital and treated. Just a few hours later he left the clinic again. The car in which Reynolds drove away from the club was later found by police with multiple bullet holes.

In a statement the Broncos wrote: “Josh Reynolds was the victim of a shooting in Denver on Friday and was treated for minor injuries. Out of respect for the judicial process, we will defer further comment on this matter to the authorities.”

Reynolds, who is currently out injured following finger surgery, was able to take part in team activities this week despite the incident.

Police have since reported that they have arrested two men who are linked to the shooting. These are Burr Charlesworth (42) and Luis Mendoza (35).

Both are being investigated for attempted murder and first-degree assault.

Reynolds has been playing for the Broncos since this season. He signed a two-year contract worth nine million dollars (around 8.3 million euros) with the three-time Super Bowl champions in March.

He also previously played for the Detroit Lions, the Tennessee Titans and the Los Angeles Rams. The team from California selected him in the fourth round of the NFL draft in 2017. In 2019 he reached the Super Bowl with the Rams, but lost 3:13 against the New England Patriots.
