For the other 31 teams, everything looks different again – and, above all, tight.
It was often a key scene that ultimately decided between victory and defeat.
Nine of the 14 games from Week 2 (two games are still on Tuesday night) were decided by a touchdown (plus an additional point) or less. Ten, if you count the Kansas City Chiefs’ 17-9 win over Jacksonville.

The referees were a separate topic in this game. But at least they made what was probably the best statement a referee has made over the loudspeakers in a long time.

When Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith was upset about what – and yes, in my opinion – was a completely wrong decision, he stood in front of the White Head, who was announcing the foul and the penalty to the spectators.
That’s why he rebuked Smith with the words: “I’m talking to America right now, excuse me,” for everyone to hear. Oh yes – to be as confident in yourself as this referee is, that would be it.
In the end – but not always – the 49ers were convincing, winning 30:23 at the LA Rams. But the hero of the game was NFL rookie, wide receiver Puka Nacua.

In his first two games he not only caught the most passes but also gained over 100 yards of space in each of the first two games. When was the last time that happened? Exactly. Never.
But let’s get back to the Arizona Cardinals. They had sensed morning air after their opponent – the New York Giants – went down 0-40 the previous week. And it looked like it would be a repeat, as the Red Cardinals led 20-0 at halftime.
Why am I highlighting this? Right, because they lost in the end. The giants from the Big Apple left the field victorious with 31:28.
Maybe the Cardinals have a better chance next week. Who is actually coming? Oh. The Dallas Cowboys. Scored 70 points in the last two games – and allowed ten. So this could be a game that is anything but close.
