NFL to set up vaccination clinic at Super Bowl

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The NFL is partnering with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health to set up a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Super Bowl Experience, the league announced Tuesday.

The vaccination center will be located in the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center and it is advisable to make an appointment. Fans who receive a dose of the vaccine at the clinic will get free tickets to the Super Bowl Experience, the event organized by the league as part of its big game, with contests and autograph signings.

Tickets for the interactive amusement park allusive to the NFL are redeemable for the day of application of the vacua or for a later date. Hobbyists ages 5 and up are eligible to receive the vaccine.

“Our collaboration with the NFL allows people to come together safely to experience the best of football,” said Dr. Barbara Ferrer, director of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health in a statement.

The experience will be at the convention center on February 5 and 6, and will run from February 10 to 12. If there are fans who do not meet the vaccination requirements beforehand, the NFL has partnered with Medea Testing Solutions to make rapid tests available for antigen, free of charge.

The NFL is encouraging anyone traveling to Los Angeles for the week leading up to the Super Bowl and for the game to have an up-to-date immunization record, including a booster if eligible.
