NFL: The New York Jets fire offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur

Mike LaFleur lost his offensive coordinator position New York jets after two disappointing and unproductive seasons, a source familiar with the decision told the Associated Press.

LaFleur’s future with the club was in doubt after Zach Wilson got into serious trouble in his sophomore season and the offense was among the worst in the NFL for the second straight season.

The Jets finished the season on a six-game losing streak to improve to 7-10.

LaFleur and the Jets reportedly agreed to part ways on Wednesday after some teams inquired about his availability. The Jets have yet to confirm LaFleur’s departure.

LaFleur, 36, is the younger brother of Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur.
