A tragic accident happened to NFL star Shaquil Barrett of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
His two-year-old daughter drowned in the pool at home, police said. The child was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.
The 30-year-old Barrett, who won a career Super Bowl with both the Denver Broncos and the Bucs, and his wife Jordanna have three other children.
“Today’s tragic news is heartbreaking for all members of the Buccaneers family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Shaq, Jordanna and the entire Barrett family at this incredibly difficult time,” the Buccaneers said in a statement.
