The NFL has released the game schedule for the 2023 season. We’ll tell you all the important dates and show you the duels from week 1.
To kick things off on the night of September 8th, Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs meets the Detroit Lions at Arrowhead Stadium.
In the first Monday Night Game of the new season, the New York Jets will face the Buffalo Bills for their new star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, while the Green Bay Packers will be visiting the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
The Week 1 game between the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles can also be eagerly awaited: then quarterback icon Tom Brady is to be honored. He had declared his final retirement from football in the offseason.
An absolute treat comes Week 4 when Patrick Mahomes joins the Chiefs at Aaron Rodgers’ Jets. The 56th Super Bowl will be repeated in Week 11 on November 20th when the Kansas City Chiefs welcome the Philadelphia Eagles.

NFL: Two games in Germany, three in London
It is also clear that there will be two Germany games at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt. In Week 9 on November 5, the Kansas City Chiefs will meet the Miami Dolphins there, and seven days later the New England Patriots will meet the Indianapolis Colts.
In addition, three games will be played in London: The Jacksonville Jaguars will be represented twice. First in Wembley against the Atlanta Falcons (October 1st), then in Tottenham against the Buffalo Bills (October 8th). The third game on English soil is between the Tennessee Titans and the Baltimore Ravens also in Tottenham (October 15).
Bang on Thanksgiving and Christmas
The traditional Thanksgiving games are also set:

- Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers
For the first time ever, an NFL game will take place the day after Thanksgiving, i.e. on “Black Friday”, with Jets vs. Dolphins.
Christmas is also hot: on December 25, the Chiefs ask the Las Vegas Raiders to dance. The TV station “Nickelodeon” shows the game with special effects for young viewers. In addition, the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants meet on Christmas Day. The Chiefs take on the Cincinnati Bengals on New Year’s Eve.
