The highly anticipated debuts of NFL stars Odell Beckham Jr.
and Von Miller for the Los Angeles Rams have been tarnished by an unexpectedly sharp defeat. The title candidate lost 10:31 in the San Francisco 49ers.
Because of the rivalry and direct competition between the two teams from NFC West, the second loss of the season in a row was particularly bitter for the favored Rams.
The defense around the stars Miller, Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey was cleverly outmaneuvered by the 49ers – on the other hand, the Rams made two interceptions. The first was the result of a lack of coordination between new signing OBJ and quarterback Matthew Stafford. Overall, Beckham Jr only had two captured passes totaling 18 yards.
For the 49ers, still in the Super Bowl in 2020, it was the fourth win of the season and the first home win in more than a year. The team still has a chance of qualifying for the playoffs.
