The preparatory game between the NFL teams New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers has been canceled due to a serious injury to Isaiah Bolden.
The 23-year-old defenseman of the Patriots remained motionless after a collision with teammate Calvin Munson and had to be taken off the field on a stretcher after initial treatment. Both football teams then decided to stop the game at 21:17 for New England.
“He had feeling in all his limbs but was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation and observation,” the Patriots said.

The team announced more information for this Sunday. “We’re just keeping our fingers crossed,” said Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
Isaiah Bolden was discharged from the hospital
The all-clear came on Sunday. “Following a battery of physicals and an overnight observation,” Bolden was released from Aurora Bay Medical Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the Patriots said. “Isaiah will be traveling with the team today,” it said. After the game was abandoned, the Patriots return home to Foxborough, Massachusetts on Sunday. However, the joint training sessions with the Tennessee Titans scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday were canceled. (dpa/fs)
