New York (SID) – As expected, the New York Jets fired their head coach Adam Gase after the final day of the National Football League (NFL). “It is clear that the best decision for the Jets is to take a new direction,” said club boss Christopher Johnson. Under gas, the Jets only managed two wins in 14 defeats over the past season, initially losing 13 games in a row after the start of the season.
In the course of the season, three head coaches in the NFL had already been fired: The Houston Texans had split from Bill O’Brien, the Atlanta Falcons from Dan Quinn and the Detroit Lions from Matt Patricia. The Jacksonville Jaguars also face Doug Marrone about to be released.
