NFL: Los Angeles Rams win at Arizona Cardinals

Had they won, the Arizona Cardinals would have been the first team to advance to the NFL playoffs this season. But, Monday, during the last game of the 14th day of the regular season, the “Cards” were beaten at home by the Los Angeles Rams (30-23), their rivals in the NFC West division.

The Californian team thus obtained a second consecutive victory, a first for them since the month of October, while Arizona is irregular in recent weeks. After winning their first seven games, the Cardinals have three wins and just as many losses in their last outings.

Monday, Los Angeles won thanks to its quarterback Matthew Stafford, who launched 287 yards and three touchdowns. But the Rams’ defense also shone. Aaron Donald sacked Arizona QB Kyler Murray three times. The latter was also intercepted twice. The first was the most infuriating, because Murray had positioned his team four yards from the opposing end zone.

In the second half, the California defenders also stopped the Arizona attack twice, as it played its fourth attempt with a yard to gain.
