NFL Fans, Get Exciting Insights: Which Team Will be Featured on Hard Knocks?

Which team grants the NFLfans this season exciting insights?

So far, the league has still not announced which coach the TV show “Hard Knocks” will be watching over the shoulder in the pre-season. A possible candidate has now clearly positioned himself on this question.

“I know there are several teams that would love to have ‘Hard Knocks’ in their building,” said Robert Saleh, the club’s head coach New York Jetsto Sports Illustratedonly to make it unmistakably clear: “We just don’t belong.”

However, to the chagrin of the 44-year-old, the New Jersey franchise is shortlisted. As one of only four teams, Saleh’s squad meets the criteria to be selected for the fan-favorite TV show.

Here’s how the NFL chooses its annual “hard knock” team

In principle, the NFL can select any team. However, this can be rejected if:

  • it has a head coach in the first year

  • it in the past two years in the Playoffs stand

  • it had appeared on Hard Knock for the past ten years

None of these three points apply to the Jets. So should the league choose the men in green and white, there would be no way to prevent it. And the probability is definitely there.

After all, the franchise has since superstar Aaron Rodgers moved from Green Bay to Florham Park gained enormous attention. Fans would surely like to see the 39-year-old settle into a new team after 18 years with the Packers.

The competition doesn’t want it either

In addition, the Rodgers team has little competition. Next to the jets are only the Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints and Washington Commanders shortlisted, since they too cannot refuse.

That the NFL chooses the commanders who currently have more to do with themselves and have repeatedly attracted attention with scandalsis rather unlikely.

But the Bears and Saints don’t get excited at the thought of a TV team on the training ground either. “I wouldn’t like it because I just want to focus on our team and getting better, and any distraction is just that: distraction that ultimately keeps us from achieving our goal,” said Saints coach Dennis Allen on June 6 at ProFootballTalk.

Bears boss George McCaskey was not impressed either. “We believe there are a number of teams that have compelling stories to tell about ‘Hard Knocks,'” he said at the owners’ meeting The Athletic. “Thirty-one others.”

In the end, it could be up to the Jets after all – much to Robert Saleh’s displeasure.
