Despite a weaker performance towards the end, the Detroit Lions continue to win at will in the North American professional league NFL.
The team led by German football professional Amon-Ra St. Brown won against the Chicago Bears 23:20 on Thanksgiving, making it their eleventh success in a row.
Goff finds LaPorta twice
With a total of eleven wins from twelve games, the Lions remain at the top of the NFC and therefore have the best prospects of home advantage in the playoffs. Quarterback Jared Goff threw two touchdowns to tight end Sam LaPorta.
The Bears, who turned up the heat after the break, scored touchdowns through Keenan Allen (2) and DJ Moore. One of the highlights of the game came from wide receiver Jameson Williams, who completely jumped over Bears opponent Kevin Byard while sprinting.
The defense also made some mistakes
Overall, the Lions’ performance was not as convincing as in their recent wins against the Indianapolis Colts (24:6) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (52:6). The recently strong defense also made a few mistakes against the Bears. In a wild game towards the end, the Lions saved the victory over time.
