Another week for the Houston Texans, another duel against a young phenomenon at quarterback.
After being treated to a showdown between Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes in the first week of activities, fans are now treated to a clash between Texans quarterback and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Watson had seen Mahomes deal with the Texas roster’s defensive unit to give the Kansas City Chiefs a 34-20 victory.
The Texans’ defense must remember that last season, Jackson cut this unit up with 222 passing yards and four touchdowns at their expense in a 41-7 loss.
Jackson has shown he has no intention of slowing down after his last thunderous campaign. He led the Ravens to a landslide 38-6 win over the Cleveland Browns to kick off their regular schedule.
The Ravens have now won 13 straight regular season games. It’s the longest streak of its kind since the Carolina Panthers, who had 18 straight wins in 2014 and 2015.
