NFL Draft Picks 64-98: Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos, and More

64 – Chicago Bears : Zacch Pickens – DT – South Carolina

After Gervon Dexter, the Bears select a new defensive tackle in the person of Zacch Pickens, more complete on the pass rush but less effective against the run than Dexter.

65 – Philadelphia Eagles (trade with Houston Texans): Tyler Steen – OT – Alabama

Tackle or guard, Tyler Steen will probably be a replacement next year, but his athletic qualities could allow him to make a career in the NFL for several years.

66 – Philadelphia Eagles  : Sydney Brown – S – Illinois

Two straight picks for the Eagles, and Illinois’ third defensive back selected. Sydney Brown is a versatile and instinctive safety.

67 – Denver Broncos : Drew Sanders – LB – Arkansas

He could (should?) have gone higher, but the Broncos took advantage of his fall to make Drew Sanders their potential linebacker of the future. Sized for the NFL, Sanders is a true athlete, fast and versatile.

68 – Detroit Lions (trade with the Denver Broncos): Hendon Hooker – QB – Tennessee

His injury no longer seems to be a problem today, because Hendon Hooker should not need to see the field in 2023. The Lions are recovering a potential quarterback from the future, to whom they will leave development time behind Jared Goff.

69 – Houston Texans (trade with Los Angeles Rams): Nathaniel Dell – WR – Houston

Nathaniel Dell isn’t going to need to move, moving from Houston to Houston. A true playmaker, Dell is a gimmick the way NFL franchises love today.

70 – Las Vegas Raiders : Byron Young – DT – Alabama

The first of the two Byron Young arrives in Nevada, where he will bring his qualities against the race.

71 – New Orleans Saints : Kendre Miller – RB – TCU

The Saints pick up a running back to take the crumbs behind Alvin Kamara. Kendre Miller is a running back who doesn’t back down from tacklers, and is a natural runner.

72 – Arizona Cardinals (trade with Tennessee Titans): Garrett Williams – CB – Syracuse

A true specialist in the area, Williams brings depth to the Cardinals’ defensive backfield.

73 – New York Giants (trade with Los Angeles Rams): Jalin Hyatt – WR – Tennessee

A deep threat par excellence, Jalin Hyatt bolsters one of, if not the worst receiving corps in the league.

74 – Cleveland Browns : Cedric Tillman – WR – Tennessee

A receiver from Tennessee calls another. Cedric Tillman, however, is quite the opposite of Hyatt. Tall, powerful, physical, he brings depth and a profile that the Browns lacked.

75 – Atlanta Falcons : Zach Harrison – EDGE – Ohio State

Not as effective as expected in college, Zach Harrison is still an exciting pass rusher who could explode in the NFL.

76 – New England Patriots : Marte Mapu – LB – Sacramento State

Coming from a small college, Marte Mapu still lacks meat for the NFL, but he has shown instincts and an ability to cover a lot of ground typical of modern linebackers. A pure Patriots choice.

77 – Los Angeles Rams : Byron Young – EDGE – Tennessee

Byron Young second of the name lands in Los Angeles. Competitive, Young is very good against the run, but still has work to do to weigh in the pass rush.

78 – Green Bay Packers : Tucker Kraft – TE – South Dakota State

When the Packers pick targets, they don’t fake it. After Luke Musgrave, Green Bay gets another tight end, physical and athletic, to prepare for the future. They must really trust Jordan Love…

79 – Indianapolis Colts : Josh Downs – WR – North Carolina

Whether Gardner Minshew or Anthony Richardson, the Colts offer a new target for their quarterback. Pocket wide receiver Josh Downs is incredibly explosive, and showed it with insane production in the NCAA.

80 – Carolina Panthers (trade with Pittsburgh Steelers): DJ Johnson – EDGE – Oregon

Pass rusher with potential, DJ Johnson brings depth to the edge positions with the Panthers.

81 – Tennessee Titans (trade with the Detroit Lions): Tyjae Spears – RB – Tulane

Take the runner that is Derrick Henry. Well Tyjae Spears is quite the opposite. Lighter, Spears is a lively and agile running back, perfect to complement Henry.

82 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers : YaYa Diaby – EDGE – Louisville

A natural athlete, YaYa Diaby saw her coast explode thanks to a great performance during the combine. If he has great potential as a pass rusher, he is much less effective against the run.

83 – Denver Broncos (trade with Seattle Seahawks): Riley Moss – CB – Iowa

Endowed with an excellent football IQ, versatile, competitive, Riley Moss is an excellent man-to-man player, but his qualities in the zone raise questions.

84 – Miami Dolphins : Devon Achane – RB – Texas A&M

While not very powerful, his sheer speed and ability to make big plays allow him to fit perfectly into the mold of Dolphins running backs like Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson.

85 – Los Angeles Chargers : Daiyan Henley – LB – Washington State

Very athletic and explosive, Henley is not a “traditional” linebacker but his blitz skills should allow him to find a place in the rotation of the Chargers.

86 – Baltimore Ravens : Trenton Simpson – LB – Clemson

A true playmaker, Simpson reinforces a defense of the Ravens already full of qualities. His fall stops in Maryland.

87 – San Francisco 49ers (trade with Minnesota Vikings): Ji’Ayir Brown – S – Penn State

Explosive, productive at university, Ji’Ayir Brown goes to California to learn alongside Tashaun Gipson and Talanoa Hufanga.

88 – Jacksonville Jaguars : Tank Bigsby – RB – Auburn

Behind Travis Etienne, there was a place to take in the Jacksonville riders committee. Tank Bigsby will be that man. In addition to having a great name, he’s a really good running back, strong in the redzone.

89 – Los Angeles Rams (trade with New York Giants): Kobie Turner – DT – Wake Forest

Very explosive, he lacks physicality but compensates with excellent hands that allow him to defend against the run effectively.

90 – Dallas Cowboys : DeMarvion Overshown – LB – Texas

Very aggressive, DeMarvion Overshown is a player who perfectly resembles a Cowboys even before having put on the jersey. His undeniable athletic qualities remain in Texas.

91 – Buffalo Bills : Dorian Williams – LB – Tulane

Very productive in a team and a conference of lesser quality, Dorian Williams will have to export all the good qualities that he displayed in Tulane at the highest level.

92 – Kansas City Chiefs (trade with the Cincinnati Bengals): Wanya Morris – OT – Oklahoma

Like Trey Smith before him, Wanya Morris is a player whose college performances have not reached the heights expected. But if Morris has the same success at the Chiefs as Smith, then the Andy Reid magic will definitely be in the history books.

93 – Pittsburgh Steelers (trade with the Carolina Panthers): Darnell Washington – TE – Georgia

Another fall, that of Darnell Washington ends in Pittsburgh. One of the most intriguing players of this draft will bring to the Steelers his blocking qualities and his physicality in a style very different from that of Pat Freiermuth.

94 – Arizona Cardinals : Michael Wilson – WR – Stanford

Excellent in the yards after reception, Michael Wilson has against him a very fragile physique, having suffered from major injuries in 2020 and 2022. Big risk, but undeniable qualities.

95 – Cincinnati Bengals (trade with Kansas City Chiefs): Jordan Battle – S – Alabama

Able to play almost anywhere in the defensive backfield, Jordan Battle is a talented, highly intelligent player the Bengals needed.

96 – Detroit Lions (trade with Arizona Cardinals): Brodric Martin – DT – Western Kentucky

Defensive tackle with the ideal physique for the NFL, Brodric Martin is powerful and efficient in one-on-one, in a position needed for Detroit.

97 – Washington Commanders : Ricky Stromberg – C – Arkansas

With Chase Roullier approaching his 30th birthday, the Commanders surely want to secure the position’s future.

98 – Cleveland Browns : Siaki Ika – DT – Baylor

Expected higher in the draft, the powerful Siaki Ika joins the Browns to bring weight to the defensive line of Cleveland.

99 – San Francisco 49ers : Jake Moody – K – Michigan

So now the kickers are top 100 picks? Moody is the highest selected kicker since Tampa called Roberto Aguayo in the second round in 2016. A story that went very wrong. San Francisco needed a kicker after Robbie Gould left. And Moody is an excellent specialist. He landed 82.1% of his kicks in five years at Michigan. Last season, he posted a record of 29/35. He was voted the Big Ten conference’s top kicker for the second year in a row.

Very accurate up close, Moody has a success of 38/39 within 40 yards and 48/52 when within 50 yards. In his last game, he kicked 59 yards, a college record.

100 – Las Vegas Raiders : Tre Tucker – WR – Cincinnati

Very explosive, Tre Tucker knows how to separate, but his hands raise questions.

101 – San Francisco 49ers: Cameron Latu – TE – Alabama

The 49ers are filling a need behind George Kittle with smart, versatile tight end Latu.

102 – Minnesota Vikings (trade with the San Francisco 49ers): Mekhi Blackmon – CB – USC

Good tackler, playmaker, with a winning mentality, Mekhi Blackmon can hope to have playing time in rotation with the Vikings.
