Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds and another individual were shot during a shooting last Friday, October 18, outside a nightclub.
The local station 9News was the first to report the incident on Thursday, almost a week after the events.
Shortly after 3 a.m., a 911 call came in reporting a shooting near East Hampden Avenue and South Dahlia Street.
The caller said he was shot while driving his vehicle, a blue Ford Bronco.
Among the victims identified at the scene was Reynolds, who was reportedly shot once in the left arm, and a second time in the back of the head. A second man was shot in the back, while a third suffered cuts as a result of smashed glass.
The three victims had tried to flee their pursuers by climbing a fence.
Reynolds, 29, was a fourth-round pick of the Los Angeles Rams in the 2017 draft.
Upon conclusion of his rookie contract in LA, he signed with the Tennessee Titans in 2021, before spending nearly three seasons with the Detroit Lions (2021-2023);
Reynolds signed a two-year, $9 million deal with the Broncos this offseason.
On October 12, his name was placed on the injured list after he was hit in the hand during the Broncos’ Week 5 victory against the Las Vegas Raiders.
