NFL: Bills to find some of their supporters for the playoffs

The Buffalo Bills will meet their supporters for the playoffs.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Wednesday that a limited number of fans can be accepted into Bills Stadium for the playoffs. Protocols surrounding COVID-19 had prevented the presence of fans in the stands since the start of the season.

The plan says 6,772 supporters will be admitted to the stands, but they must have tested negative for COVID-19.

With a 12-3 record, the Bills are sure to play a home playoff game for the first time in 25 years.

Predators without a supporter

In the NHL, Predators will enter the local portion of their fan-free schedule until further notice, as a result of the COVID-19 situation in the Nashville area.

The Predators will start the campaign Jan. 14 at home against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The club broke the news about playing without supporters on Wednesday, saying we want to be an ally, not an enemy, for the community.

The Bridgestone Arena can accommodate 17,159 people.

A state of nearly seven million people, Tennessee reported 8,220 cases of the coronavirus as of Wednesday.
