Paris Saint-Germain threatens an exodus on the offensive. After the sale of Lionel Messi (36), PSG is currently worried about the whereabouts of Kylian Mbappe (24). To make matters worse, Neymar (31) also asked for a release. However, there will be no reunion with a former coach.

As L’Equipe learned, Neymar auditioned for PSG boss Nasser Al-Khelaifi on Sunday and announced his intention to change. The Brazilian has been up for sale several times in recent years but has resisted a transfer.

According to the report, Neymar has since changed his mind after fans ambushed him outside his home in May urging a move. On the part of the club, he also feels that he is not sufficiently protected from such attacks.

Incidentally, Neymar should continue to envisage a return to FC Barcelona as an ideal solution. However, since the financially weak Catalans cannot afford the attacker’s lavish salary, this plan seems doomed to failure.

Chelsea: Mauricio Pochettino vetoes Neymar transfer

Chelsea, on the other hand, is one of the clubs that would be able to easily take over Neymar’s salary. Mauricio Pochettino (51), the Blues’ new head coach, has also previously worked with Neymar at PSG.

However, as the Evening Standard learned, Pochettino is not keen on bringing Neymar to Stamford Bridge. Summer transfers so far suggest that Chelsea are currently focusing on young players like Christopher Nkunku (25), Nicolas Jackson (22) and keeper Robert Sanchez (25).

Neymar, on the other hand, has already passed 30. What’s more, the South American has underperformed at Paris Saint-Germain in recent years and has been prone to injury since the 2018 World Cup.
