After taking a long time to settle down at Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar flirted with a return to FC Barcelona, according to Brazilian football legend Kaka.
Neymar has always been a topic within FC Barcelona following his world record start at Paris Saint-Germain in 2017. As Barça couldn’t replace the superstar on an equal footing and Ousmane Dembele couldn’t set foot for earth, Neymar’s rumors surfaced in 2019 in particular.
“I am a close friend of Neymar. He had a difficult time at PSG and problems with the fans, so he wanted to return to Barcelona,” Brazilian hero Kaka told beIN SPORTS in an interview. As is well known, the change did not materialize at the time.
Neymar, who recently backed Brazilian presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro, is now finding his feet in Paris. Last year he therefore extended his long-term contract until 2025.
“Today he is happy. He thinks it is a long-term project at PSG,” says Kaka of Neymar’s condition. The team gets stronger every year, building more cohesion to win something really important like the Champions League, but he is happy in Paris and at PSG. “
