Brazilian football star Neymar has returned to Al-Hilal team training and will accompany the team to their away game against Al-Ain Club in the Asian Champions League. After a serious knee injury and an operation, the 32-year-old has successfully completed his rehabilitation phase and is ready to get back into action. Neymar has been out of action since October last year after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury during a World Cup qualifier against Uruguay. He joined Al-Hilal from Paris St Germain in August last year after a transfer for a hefty fee of around €90 million, but was only able to play five games before repeated muscle injuries set him back. His absence was keenly felt, particularly by the Brazilian national team, who missed him sorely as they suffered a disappointing quarter-final exit in the USA at the 2024 Copa America. In his absence, Brazil failed again in the penalty shootout, as they did against Croatia in the 2022 World Cup. Al-Hilal has officially confirmed that Neymar is fit to play against Al-Ain at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium. The happy news was shared on social media platform X with the words “He’s back!” announced. Now it remains to be seen how Neymar will perform on the pitch and whether he can help Al-Hilal make the Champions League game successful.
