Neymar returned to the field with Al-Hilal after more than a year of absence. But this return unfortunately came to an end for the Brazilian on Monday evening in the Asian Champions League.
Having taken to the pitch shortly before the hour mark, Neymar did not complete the match. The striker held the back of his thigh after straightening his leg in an attempt to control the ball. He then headed out of bounds for medical staff to attend to him. Finally, he had to resolve to leave the game in the 87th minute and appeared totally disappointed when he joined the sidelines.
According to his coach, Neymar is suffering from a muscle injury which should put him out of action for two weeks, when he had just returned to the field on October 21. A setback far from ideal as the former Barça player tries to get back into shape with a view to being called up by the Brazilian coach to participate in the Seleçao’s next matches.
