After being eliminated from the World Cup in Qatar, the Brazilian striker Neymar posted his correspondence with his teammates on social media, in shape Brand.
Neymar said he did not ask permission from Marquinhos, Thiago Silva and Rodrigo to publish excerpts of their messages and wanted to show how distraught Brazilian footballers were at the failure of the tournament.
Brazil national team lost Croatia to the quarter-finals on penalties (1-1 after extra time, 2-4 on penalties).
To an apology from Rodrigo, who didn’t score on penalties and called Neymar an “idol”, the forward replied: “There’s no need to apologize, are you crazy? Only those who are right have a chance to lose. You are fantastic. Later I can teach you how to take the penalty. We will make it together.”
Neymar wrote to Marquinhos, who missed on penalties, that “one bad shot won’t change his opinion.”
Tiago Silva wrote to Neymar that he couldn’t believe the defeat. “I want to cry every time I think about it.” Neymar replied that Tiago Silva, Dani Alves and he really deserved to become world champions, but “God has a goal for them.”
