PSG superstar Lionel Messi has revealed that Neymar offered him the prestigious “10” jersey number upon arrival in Paris. However, the Argentine refused the offer according to his own statements.
“The number ’10’ was his,” said the 34-year-old in an interview with France Football and added: “It was unbelievable of him that he offered me that. But I had almost expected that from him, because I know Neymar very well. We spent a lot of time together in Barcelona and are friends.”

“But I felt it was right that he should keep the ’10’. That’s why I chose a different number that I like,” continued Messi.
