Neymar gets scared of flying after a private jet makes an emergency landing

PSG fans will be relieved to hear that Brazil striker Neymar Jr is safe after his private jet was reportedly forced into an emergency landing while flying back to Brazil from Barbados earlier this week.

The plane was believed to be carrying the footballer and his sister Rafaella Santos and partner Bruna Biancardi. The aircraft had to declare a state of emergency after mechanical problems, particularly with the windshield.

The group was en route to Sao Paulo but had to make an emergency stop in the northern Brazilian city of Boa Vista, which is in the state of Roraima, near Venezuela.

The delay only lasted about two hours and the PSG star received a warm welcome from airport staff. Despite the dangerous situation, everyone seemed to be in good spirits, according to Goal.

In the end, the problem was resolved and Neymar and his companions were all able to complete their journey. Although it has been confirmed that Neymar was on the plane, it is unclear whether it was the Embraer Legacy 450 plane, which Neymar had previously acquired for an alleged £10.8million.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker is enjoying a hectic holiday season after ending a long season with PSG in which they won the Ligue 1 title.

He then signed up for an international cap in Brazil before finally being able to enjoy some time off with family and friends. In the national team he scored twice against South Korea and again against Japan.

For the past week he has been spotted enjoying his free time in Las Vegas and Miami. He is now back in Brazil after a stopover in Barbados and it remains to be seen how he will spend the rest of his short break.

Like most footballers, he will have to return to pre-season training with his teammates in July. The domestic season is set to start earlier this year to make way for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted in Qatar for the first time in winter.
