Following recent rumors of a potential departure from Saudi Arabia, Neymar has now gushed about life in the desert state and claimed how happy he is just over a year after joining Al-Hilal.
Contrary to recent rumors, Neymar is apparently not thinking about leaving Saudi Arabia. On a tour by Hammad Albalawi, head of the 2034 FIFA World Cup bidding unit, which served to present the conditions of the possible World Cup host, Neymar raved about the ambitious goals that the country has.
Why Neymar was ‘pretty surprised’ by Saudi Arabia
“I think it’s the best project I’ve ever seen in my life and I’m happy to be a part of it and help in any way. It’s incredible. They’ve thought of everything, not just for them players, but also for the fans,” praises the Brazilian, who is particularly impressed by the good planning.
“Everything has to do with football. They think about the players so that there are no long flights and travel time, which makes it easier to get from the game to the hotel and from the hotel to the game so that we can recover faster,” explains the 32-year-old who moved to Al-Hilal in the desert state in the summer of 2023 and will most likely have long since retired as a footballer in 2034.

Neymar brushes aside transfer rumors
The superstar is also “pretty surprised” by his adopted home. Because from outside, from a distance, we have a completely different perspective of what the country is really like. When people come here, they have a different, very positive perspective, just like that “I do,” he emphasizes, ending speculation that he is unhappy in Saudi Arabia.
It was recently reported that the superstar is considering an early departure and that there is even talk of terminating his contract in January. But Neymar doesn’t seem to be thinking about that at all: “I have to say that I’m very happy. My family is very happy. I’ve been living here for over a year now, so I’ve already settled in,” he continued, dispelling the transfer rumors the wind out of your sails for now.
