The much-noticed move from Neymar to Saudi Arabia, which was noted with a lot of shaking of the head, was not even a month ago. Now the superstar is giving one of his former clubs hope for a return.
Before Neymar set foot on European football ground for the first time, he trained at FC Santos. There, the 31-year-old was initially active in the youth field and later made his senior debut. A return to Sao Paulo state is what Neymar prefers to end his career.

“Obviously I want to play for Santos again. I know it puts me under pressure saying this now, but I have a desire, I wrote that when I left: I’m leaving, but I’ll come back. I want to play for Santos again, I don’t know when, but I’ll definitely come back,” Neymar told Globo Esporte.
FC Barcelona once paid almost 90 million euros to Santos in 2013 to win over Neymar. After four years, he joined Paris Saint-Germain before relocating to Saudi Arabia this summer, where he first signed a lucrative two-year deal with Al-Hilal.

Neymar: ‘I’m a big Santos fan’
“I’ve never stayed away from Santos, I’ve always been an open and big Santos fan, I’m a Santos fan,” Neymar said of the close connection to his training club. “I came back now because I had the opportunity to be here, to go to the game.” The most recent game visit was it for the time being.
This summer, under certain circumstances, it could have worked with a return to Barcelona. Due to the tense financial situation at Blaugrana, however, a deal could not be implemented. Neymar is said to earn €150m a year at Al-Hilal.
