In terms of AVG, it is a strange party anyway. At the beginning of this year they made a rule change on the GTA5 website, I didn’t agree with this so I decided to move my mods to their own website.
But because I was curious about what else they actually collected in terms of data, I submitted a request for a copy of all my data, with the request to remove all of my data from the systems as soon as that was completed.
Waited a reasonable amount of time: no response. I send a new mail with a more serious undertone and there is finally a response: we have deleted all your data. So I hadn’t seen my data yet, and when I ask for this, it’s due to human error. Given the clarity about it in the emails, I thought it was unbelievable, but sure fuck it at least it’s gone.
In the meantime I also have my doubts whether everything is gone, since my username has still been claimed (see https://www.gta5-mods.com/users/dyverze tov https://www.gta5-mods.com/users/randomexample). But well it will.
Fast forward 2 or 3 months and I want to download a mod that I already downloaded before. I look in the comments, and what do I see? A comment from me. So it appears that not all data is gone that they previously claimed. I send another angry email, with the previous requests for access and destruction. This time I get a nice overview of all the comments I made (although I am sure that this list is not complete) and they have indeed been removed.
I don’t think they are very well aware of the AVG regulations and how to deal with them.
