Next week, the ice will be fattened in the Kori Liget in Fehérvár: this is how the track will be this year! (video, gallery)

As we wrote last week, the construction of the Kori Liget is already well underway. However, you can see from the construction that the skaters can expect a slightly different track this year than in the past. Mayor András Cser-Palkovics reported on the details on his social media page: this year, the Music Pavilion will be left out of the rink, but a 100-meter-long ice corridor will also be attached to the rink. With this, skaters can take possession of nearly 800 square meters of ice surface on December 1. The ice corridor will wind around the statue of Miklós Ybl in the Zichy grove.

The people of Fehérvár are already happy about the special feature, which allows the skaters to slide on the ice longer and more energetically. By the way, this solution allows for more modern technical solutions than the previous ones, so the track can also operate in milder weather. The concrete construction will be completed this week, and from next week the ice will be fattened – so that it will be ready to receive guests by the first Advent.
